First Impressions
The Motiv Forza Redline draws plenty of attention with its bright Yellow and Red Pearl design. At its center works the powerful symmetric Torx core, which carries a 2.500 RG and a strong 0.051 differential. This core is wrapped in the Helix Pearl Reactive coverstock, brought to an extreme high gloss with a 5000 grit LSP finish. The medium RG lets the core rotate very definitely, which in combination with the smooth cover should let the ball pass through the heads effortlessly and create an angular, clean move in the backend.
Comparison
In a direct comparison with the Motiv Forza, which uses a heavy solid cover, the Forza Redline shows a drastically later and far more angular reaction. Compared to the Storm Hy-Road Pearl, the Forza Redline behaves very similarly in length, but the Torx core often generates a somewhat stronger backend move. When the transition sets in over the course of a block and friction increases on the outside boards, the pearl surface stores energy perfectly. It doesn't need a heavy oil base to develop hook effectively.
On the Lanes
The Motiv Forza Redline was developed for use on medium to slightly dried-up lane conditions. It allows you to generate the hook you need to attack the pocket effectively even on boards that have already been played. The symmetric core should optimize carry through a steady but sharp entry angle. On extremely heavy oil this ball is unplayable; it skids through badly and misses the pins. On house shots, however, it's an outstanding weapon.
