BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900Global Eon Infinite, released in January 2019, positions itself as the controlled, strong answer to the wilder balls in the 900Global lineup. Visually, the ball comes in a serious "Black / Teal / Silver" color combination. Unlike many hybrids that arrive polished, the Eon Infinite ships with a factory 2000-grit Abralon finish. That immediately signals that control and earlier lane contact are the priorities here. Inside works the Oloid Symmetric Core. At 15 lbs, this core delivers a low RG of 2.48 and a medium differential of 0.043. These specs are classic for a "benchmark" ball: the low RG makes the ball rev up quickly, while the moderate differential keeps it from flaring out. All of it is wrapped in the S82RX Hybrid coverstock. This cover is aggressive and uses the matte finish to bridge the gap between the traction of a solid and the versatility of a hybrid.
Comparison
Compared directly to the 900Global White Hot Badger, released at the same time, the contrast could not be greater. Where the White Hot Badger (high RG, pearl, polished) stands for extreme length and an explosive backend reaction, the Eon Infinite is the calm anchor in the bag. It reads the lane much earlier and offers a smooth, arcing motion. Compared to the original 900Global Eon (pearl), the Infinite is noticeably more stable in oil thanks to its matte finish and hybrid cover, and less prone to squirting through the end of the pattern. Among the competition, its philosophy resembles a Storm Phaze II or a Roto Grip Idol, though its somewhat lower differential (0.043 vs. 0.051 on the Phaze II) makes it a touch smoother and more controlled on the backend. It hooks more overall than a 900Global Truth Tour, but offers more versatility than a pure "swamp ball" like the 900Global Flux.
On the Lanes
The 900Global Eon Infinite is the classic benchmark ball for medium to heavier oil patterns. It's the ideal choice as a lead-off ball on fresh lanes to read the oil pattern. Thanks to the 2000 finish and the low-RG core, it smooths out the reaction on the lane: it keeps the ball from skidding too far, but doesn't check up so abruptly that it becomes uncontrollable. Its strength is continuation through the pins. It works excellently for taming wet/dry house shots (cliffed house shots), because it blends the transitions between oil and dry. For anyone looking for a reliable ball that doesn't surprise you, it's perfect. On very dry lanes, or once the heads are already burned up, however, it will lose energy too early and should be swapped for a shiny pearl (like the Badger).
