BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Roto Grip Squad RG Clear Poly presents itself as a classic spare ball with a transparent blue sparkle look. The blue sparkle coloration varies slightly from the image shown and features the Squad RG logo. Technically, the ball uses a traditional 3-piece pancake core with an RG of 2.69 at 15 pounds and a low differential of 0.006. The Clear Polyester coverstock is polished to 3500-grit and has a durometer hardness of 85-87 on the Rex D scale. The minimal flare potential characterizes this ball as a classic spare ball.
Comparison
Compared to reactive balls, the Squad RG Clear Poly shows no hook whatsoever, since polyester balls roll straight regardless of oil distance and volume. The minimal hook characteristics of the polyester material make it a reliable companion for straight shots. Unlike the Storm Pitch Black, for example, which is designed as a urethane option for short oil patterns, the Squad RG Clear Poly should work regardless of the condition, from bone dry to oily lanes. The hard, smooth and durable Clear Polyester coverstock makes it ideal for spare conversions under all conditions, and it can even be sanded if needed to create minimal traction for use as a strike ball on extreme conditions.
On the Lanes
The Squad RG Clear Poly is primarily designed to fill frames in which not all 10 pins have fallen. Built as a spare ball, it should go precisely where you aim it, with maximum length and the least possible hook. It takes the oil pattern out of play when precision is the top priority. The traditional three-piece core should deliver straight-ahead, no-compromise pin-charging power. This ball is particularly suited for bowlers who need a dependable spare ball that produces consistent results under all lane conditions. The smooth and durable Clear Polyester surface promises years of reliable performance. If you have trouble seeing the plastic ball "backwards" through oil, this ball may pose a challenge, but it remains the purest option for straight spare systems.
