The Storm Clear Storm Electric Blue comes in electric blue and was released in August 2019. The specs show a symmetrical Traditional 3-Piece Pancake Core with an RG of 2.68 to 2.72 and a low differential of 0.005 to 0.006. The clear polyester surface is polished to 3500 grit. The optical transparency of the cover gives the ball a distinctive look that shows off the electric blue nicely.
Comparison
The Traditional 3-Piece Core should deliver predictability no matter who throws it, which makes it suitable as a spare ball for beginners and pros alike. Compared to reactive balls like the Storm Phaze II or the Hy-Road Pearl, the Clear Storm Electric Blue behaves in a completely different way. Where reactive balls respond to the oil, the polyester cover should ensure a straight path. Unlike hook balls, performance is independent of the oil conditions on the lane.
