BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Money Badger Tour comes in an all-black look and is intended as the second addition to 900 Global's Tour Preferred 700 series. The ball is built around the Inverted Grapnel Asymmetric core with a 2.57 RG and a 0.044 differential at 15 pounds. The cover is the S78R Solid Reactive, already familiar from the 900 Global Truth Tour. It is finished at the factory with 2000 Abralon and should handle heavier oil volumes than the S71 cover of the original Honey Badger. The asymmetric core offers a flare potential of 4-5 inches and more.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Money Badger, the Tour version shows noticeably earlier and stronger hook thanks to the solid S78R surface versus the polished S71 Pearl of the standard model. Testers report more overall hook than with the 900 Global Honey Badger Claw and the 900 Global Truth Tour. The ball should also provide more traction and better breakpoint control than the regular Money Badger. Because of the inverted core design, the RG and the intermediate differential stay identical to the original Grapnel core, while the total differential increases from 0.041 to 0.044 inches.
On the Lanes
The Money Badger Tour should be ideal for medium to heavy oil volumes and flat, demanding lane conditions where a slower response to friction is desired. The ball promises generous skid through the heads with strong movement at the breakpoint. The smoother reaction from the S78R cover makes it a choice for tough conditions or over-oiled house lanes where an arcing backend reaction is needed. If you're looking for enough hook on fresh heavy oil patterns, the Money Badger Tour should already provide sufficient lane read with its factory matte finish. The asymmetric core construction promises quick direction changes with controllable breakpoint behavior.
