BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm All-Road combines the proven Inverted Fe2 Technology core with the NRG Hybrid Reactive coverstock and comes in an elegant Carbon/Teal design. The specs show a 2.57 RG, a 0.046 differential and a flare potential of 5-6 inches with a 4000 grit Abralon factory finish. The NRG Hybrid Reactive coverstock was last used on the Storm PhysiX, while the Inverted Fe2 core is the heart of most Hy-Road balls. This combination should deliver a balanced mix of control through the heads and controlled power in the backend. Comparison
Compared directly to the Storm IQ Tour, the All-Road is cleaner through the front and offers a few boards more hook at the breakpoint. As a complement to the Storm Hy-Road X, it positions itself as more rolly and overall a bit smoother, while against the original Storm Hy-Road it shows an earlier breakpoint. Its big strength is that it makes a perfect complement to the classic Hy-Road - when that ball is too clean and reacts too strongly off the spot, the All-Road offers an earlier and smoother downlane reaction. This characteristic makes it a valuable addition to the Thunder line and clearly sets it apart from other Road variants. On the Lanes
The All-Road works very well on oil patterns with lower volumes or on lanes with a higher natural hook tendency, where backend control is needed. It is a perfect fit for medium volumes and lengths and can be used both later on longer, heavier patterns and fresh on short to medium oil patterns. Its biggest advantage lies in handling the typical over/under wall that is standard on house shots today. If you have lower ball speed and struggle to get the ball into position in time, you'll benefit from its characteristics, as will rev-dominant players who need more control without the jerky off-the-spot move of more aggressive balls. The 4000 grit surface provides enough friction in the midlane while keeping the backend motion controlled.
