First Impressions
The Motiv Supra shows up in a sleek midnight blue look and was developed specifically to push the limits within the Motiv product line. The ball uses the modified High Impulse core with a 2.57" RG and a .050" differential, derived from the legendary Primal series. The cover is the new Infusion Pearl Reactive, polished with 5500 grit LSP. This combination of high-RG design and pearl cover should deliver extreme length and an aggressive backend reaction.
Comparison
Compared to the Motiv Ripcord, the Supra shows a noticeably more angular reaction when it contacts dry sections of the lane, thanks to the higher RG characteristics of the core paired with the Infusion Pearl cover. The Supra is considered the fastest-responding-to-friction option Motiv has ever developed. It runs cleaner than both the Motiv Hydra and the Ripcord and offers more angularity than any other Motiv ball in testing history. Against the Ripcord, the Supra is significantly cleaner through the heads with stronger backend motion, which makes it the ideal choice when the Ripcord reacts too strongly.
On the Lanes
The Supra is best suited to light to medium oil conditions and really shines on broken-down lanes. The high RG lets the ball rotate slowly through the heads and store energy, while the dual-density weight block with its high differential creates an explosive skid-flip reaction on the backend. When the lanes dry up and a move left becomes necessary, the Supra gives you a phenomenal option without giving up carry or hitting power. This ball works excellently on drier lane conditions or when the pattern breaks down and bigger angles need to be opened up. With its extreme length characteristics and quick response to friction, it becomes an essential tool for situations that demand maximum backend recovery.
