BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900 Global Volt Solid shows up in a neon green finish that catches the eye immediately in any bowling center. The ball uses the Charged Symmetric core with an RG of 2.56 and a differential of 0.047, which classifies it as a high RG design with medium differential. The cover is the S72R Solid coverstock with a factory 2000 Abralon polish. The Charged Core design is based on the same shape as the Oloid of the Eon ball, but with an additional flip block at the bottom to raise the differential. Without an outer core, this two-piece construction should produce a higher coefficient of restitution and therefore more hitting power.
Comparison
Compared to the 900 Global Equilibrium, the Volt Solid covers more boards because its solid cover reads the lane earlier. Where the original 900 Global Volt skids too far and doesn't have enough lane left to find its way back to the pocket, the Volt Solid digs through the pattern in the midlane thanks to the box polish and the S72R Solid cover. The downlane motion is stronger than that of the Badger Honey Extreme Solid and the Money Badger Tour. The ball should provide a controlled, strong reaction over the entire lane, which sets it apart from more aggressive pearl versions.
On the Lanes
The ball suits both medium and heavier oil patterns, with a slight preference for medium patterns. As a first ball out of the bag, it should prove itself especially on medium to heavy patterns. All test bowlers struck a lot on fresh medium patterns thanks to the midlane read and the continuation on the backend. Recommended for all fresh conditions when a strong reaction over the entire lane is wanted. With a flare potential of 4-5 inches, the ball is aimed at bowlers who need early traction and continuous energy to the pin deck on medium oil volumes. The catalyst formula added to the S72R Solid should increase traction in oil and therefore appeal especially to rev-rate-dominant bowlers on house shots and medium sport patterns.
