The ball features the asymmetric OBJET core with a 2.578 RG and a 0.051 differential, paired with the UP 1 Pearl coverstock in a 4000 grit sanded finish. The striking red-and-purple color scheme makes it a visual highlight, while the specs suggest the ball was designed for medium to heavy oil conditions. With a 0.013 mass bias and the medium-high differential, the ball should offer controllable yet powerful reactions on oily lanes.
Comparison
Compared to the Storm Phaze II, which with its TX-16 solid cover and 3000 grit finish is geared more toward an earlier, smoother reaction, the Black Pearl Bloody Ocean offers more length before the reaction thanks to its pearl surface. The ball gets through the heads and the midlane easily and reacts strongly once it sees friction.
