BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm !Q Tour Nano Pearl comes in an elegant Black Pearl design and gives off the distinctive Orange Glaze scent. At its heart is the proven C3 Centripetal Control Core, a symmetrical design with a low 2.49 RG and a 0.029 differential in 15 pounds. The Nano Pearl Reactive coverstock is presented out of the box at 3000 grit Abralon. This combination of a controlled core and an aggressive cover should deliver more midlane activity and a stronger backend reaction while retaining the forgiveness that is characteristic of the !Q series.
Comparison
Compared to the Storm IQ Tour Emerald, the Nano Pearl version shows a smoother reaction at the breakpoint, but it is stronger downlane than the original IQ Tour. All player types quickly notice an increase in overall hook over the original IQ Tour and the IQ Tour Emerald. The ball offers more traction in oil and stronger downlane motion than the IQ Tour Solid, but it positions itself as less aggressive than the Storm Phaze II or Storm Axiom, without having their flare characteristics. In direct testing it reacts earlier than the Storm Parallax or Storm Trend.
On the Lanes
The !Q Tour Nano Pearl proves to be a very versatile ball that handles most medium oil patterns. It is particularly suited to fresh, medium to medium-heavy oil conditions. Its character is smooth with a bit of boominess downlane — it reacts smoothly but strongly to friction, without dramatic boomerang backend motion, but with a consistent and powerful reaction instead. For tournament players it is a must on tough oil patterns where you need a ball that holds around the pocket, and for league players it helps smooth out the typical wet-dry house conditions. As lane conditions change, you can make small moves left with your feet and target to keep the ball in the pocket, and when playing deeper the ball retains enough energy to keep driving through the pins.
