BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Brunswick Zenith comes in an eye-catching red/orange/purple color combination and embodies Brunswick's aggressive Pro Performance line. At the heart of the ball is the asymmetric Zenith core with a 2.485 RG and a high differential of 0.052. The core also carries an intermediate differential of 0.019, which produces high flare potential. The cover is the A.X.H. (Activator Xtreme Hook) Solid Reactive coverstock, finished out of the box with a 500/1000 Siaair Micro Pad. The ball also features Brunswick's DynamiCore technology for added hitting power and improved pin carry, as well as Durability Optimization Technology (DOT).
Comparison
The asymmetric Zenith core should deliver an early roll thanks to its low RG and high differential, combined with the AXH Solid Reactive coverstock. With a Reaction Shape Strength of 92 on a scale up to 100, the Zenith sits in the upper performance range. Compared to other balls in the Brunswick line, the Zenith is more aggressive than moderate options like the Brunswick Knock Out, but less extreme than the strongest symmetrics. Compared to the other Zenith versions, the solid offers more traction in the heads than the Zenith Pearl and an earlier reaction than the Zenith Hybrid. The ball slots in among high-end asymmetrics from other manufacturers such as the Storm Phaze II or the Roto Grip Halo.
On the Lanes
The Zenith is said to have been designed for lanes with "some volume" and to help bowlers who need help getting the ball into a roll, especially on oilier conditions or if you have a lower rev rate. The ball motion shows up on medium to heavy oil, and bowlers with a lower rev rate in particular should benefit from the early traction. On medium patterns the ball offers room to play both left and right with good pin action. The midlane motion should give you the confidence to follow the oil through the transition. For bowlers who prefer "hook in a box," the Zenith promises high scores, though the aggressive surface may require an adjustment if conditions are too dry.
