BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Hammer Web Pearl (2021) comes in an attractive Jade/Smoke color combination and is a reissue of the original Web Pearl. The ball uses the proven symmetrical Spheroid core with an RG of 2.481 (15 lbs) and a 0.048 differential. The Aggression Pearl coverstock is delivered with a 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair / Crown Factory Compound polish. The ball is categorized as Upper Mid Performance and was released on July 16, 2021.
Comparison
The Web Pearl shows a reaction characteristic comparable to balls like the Storm HyRoad Pearl and the Brunswick GB3 Pearl. Compared directly to the Hammer Rhodman Pearl, the overall reaction is nearly identical, and the Web Pearl could potentially replace the Rhodman Pearl. Although it shows similar reaction shapes, it isn't quite as strong in the roll phase as the comparison models mentioned. The Spheroid core used here has been proven since 2014 and is considered a benchmark shape, much like the Inverted Fe2 or V2 core.
On the Lanes
The Web Pearl should be a perfect fit for medium oil patterns and shows easy travel through the heads with generous backend motion and good continuation for improved carry. The Aggression Pearl coverstock allows easy length through the front part of the lane with an angular move to the pocket at the breakpoint. If you have a lower rev rate, you'll appreciate the predictable motion, especially when you need to open up your angles. One characteristic trait is that the ball always hooks but rarely overreacts, which builds confidence at the release. The Web Pearl works on house shots as well as on various sport conditions and takes surface adjustments well.
