BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
With the Hy-Road Wave, Storm brings a fascinating new development to market that impresses above all with its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic Inverted Fe2 core, which with a 2.57 RG and a 0.046 differential ensures a very clean motion through the front sections of the lane. The pearl reactive cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with a 1500-grit polished finish massively supports this characteristic by letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually it's a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper direction changes. The technical match between core and cover has been achieved here in an extremely harmonious and purposeful way.
Comparison
Comparing the Hy-Road Wave with the Storm Hy-Road Pearl, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Hy-Road Pearl tends to read a bit earlier, while the Hy-Road Wave holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then responds noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That characteristic makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Hy-Road Pearl starts to lose energy in the pocket or enters too flat. Although both balls have a similar orientation toward lighter oil patterns, this ball offers a noticeably more dynamic angle. It's the ideal solution for situations in which the Hy-Road Pearl no longer develops enough drive, because it generates the necessary entry angle.
On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength once the lane has already been broken in slightly and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction in the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which delivers maximum, explosive carry. When the boards in the front part of the lane dry up, it allows you to move systematically further inside and play the pocket from a considerably deeper angle. It suits medium to dry conditions excellently and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, responsive surface. Thanks to its forgiving nature on misses out to the outside, it should keep your scores stable at a very high level even in the late stages of a tournament.
