BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
Released in June 2023, the Radical Sneak Attack Solid adds a dull option for maximum control to Radical's popular "Ez-Use" line. Visually the ball comes in a purely functional, deep black. Inside sits the proven Sneak Attack Symmetric Core, specified with a high 2.544 RG and a moderate 0.036 differential (at 15 lbs). Those core numbers normally favor a lot of length, but here Radical strategically pairs them with the MTS-1 Solid Reactive coverstock (Micro Textured Solid). The factory 500/1500/3000 Siaair Micro Pad finish gives the ball a visible texture. This combination of a lazy core and a tacky cover lets the ball travel cleanly through the heads while starting a very smooth, controlled slowdown phase in the midlane without jumping aggressively.
Comparison
Compared directly to the original Radical Sneak Attack (Hybrid), which also used the MTS-1 technology but was polished, the Solid gets into a read considerably earlier and rounder. It eliminates the jagged reaction to friction the Hybrid occasionally showed and replaces it with an absolutely flowing arc. Bringing in the Roto Grip Hustle RIP as a direct competitor in the "solid for light oil" category, the Sneak Attack Solid often feels a bit more stable holding its line and less prone to overreacting at the breakpoint. You can view it as a "light version" of the legendary Storm IQ Tour Solid: it offers an almost identical smooth lane read and shape, but is technically built for considerably less oil volume and generates less overall hook.
On the Lanes
The ideal application for the Sneak Attack Solid is lighter to medium oil conditions as well as short or heavily played-in oil patterns. It's the perfect solution for situations where the lane is "nervous": when stronger balls burn up too early and pearl balls snap too unpredictably, this ball calms things down. The dull surface takes overreaction off dry boards out of the equation and allows extremely high repeatability. If you have a high rev rate, it's often strong enough to serve as a benchmark ball on standard house shots. For strokers it offers the option of staying farther right on dry lanes and playing straight up the pocket, since the ball doesn't artificially increase the angle.
