BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Rubicon UC3 Trax from Roto Grip is an absolute prime example of control and clean readability on the lane. Driven by the proven Centripetal Core, this ball offers very balanced and harmonious core dynamics with a 2.49 RG and a 0.030 differential. Combined with the precisely tuned Urethane cover, the result is a surface that interacts with the oil in an extremely predictable and consistent way. The 2000 Siaair finish purposefully ensures that the ball picks up friction early and controls the midlane reliably, without ever appearing unpredictable. Even the outward appearance conveys great stability and dependability, qualities that carry over seamlessly into the actual roll through the heads. The overall construction is designed to give the bowler clear feedback about the condition of the lane at all times.
Comparison
Looking at the Rubicon UC3 Trax directly against the Storm Pitch Black, its much stronger orientation toward control and predictability becomes very clear. The Storm Pitch Black does offer a somewhat more angular move off the backend, but it can react too sensitively or overreact on difficult oil patterns. This is exactly where the Rubicon UC3 Trax scores, with its steady, smooth and continuous arc toward the pins. Where the Pitch Black tends to miss the breakpoint, the Rubicon UC3 Trax delivers the traction needed in the pocket to stay safely on line. It closes the gap between extremely strong balls and weaker models absolutely ideally. For bowlers who like the Pitch Black but want a calmer, safer option, this is the logical choice.
On the Lanes
On the lane this ball proves to be the perfect companion for medium to heavy oil patterns, especially on typical house shots or demanding sport patterns. It lets you get through the boards safely and develops a strong but wonderfully round hook that leads straight into the pocket. The smooth reaction to the friction on the backend produces outstanding carry, since the ball transfers a great deal of energy into the pins instead of wasting it prematurely through an overly hard change of direction. Once the transition sets in, the ball can still be used very effectively with small adjustments to your line before a change becomes necessary. It is a true benchmark for anyone who wants to build their game methodically, and it should deliver consistently high scores.
