BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm Virtual Gravity Pro-X2 presents itself in a striking color combination of Orchid, Aqua and Midnight that makes it instantly recognizable on the lane. Under the hood works the proven Shape-Lock HD core, an asymmetric high-density design that produces a low RG of 2.48 and a high differential of 0.052 (at 15 lbs). These core numbers promise quick revving up and massive flare potential. This aggressive engine is paired with the NRG Pro Pearl reactive coverstock. Unlike conventional pearl surfaces, which often stand for pure skid, this version has been chemically modified so that it retains a certain amount of traction in oil despite the shiny Reacta Gloss finish. The "Wild Mint Leaf" fragrance rounds out the package and gives the ball a fresh note.
Comparison Compared directly to the **Storm Virtual Energy Blackout**, which uses the same Shape-Lock HD core, the Virtual Gravity Pro-X2 shows a noticeably earlier and rounder ball motion. While the Blackout stores its energy longer and turns the corner almost explosively at the end of the lane, the Pro-X2 reads the boards earlier in the midlane (middle part of the lane). It acts more like a "control pearl" here. Bringing the **Roto Grip Exotic Gem** into the comparison, the Pro-X2 offers a bit more length through the heads, but generates a similarly heavy-rolling motion in the backend without reacting as aggressively to dry spots as pure skid-flip balls.
On the Lanes The Storm Virtual Gravity Pro-X2 is ideally positioned for medium to slightly oily conditions, where pure solids would burn up energy too early but typical pearls react too nervously. Thanks to the NRG Pro Pearl cover it offers enough traction not to slide past the breakpoint ("blow-out"), yet still delivers enough length to store energy for the pocket. It is an excellent fit if you like to see the ball a little "rounder" and prefer a controlled backend reaction without giving up the dynamics of an asymmetric core. Especially when the lane is in transition and the heads lose some oil, the Pro-X2 should provide the necessary stability to keep finding the pocket consistently.
