With the Guru Oracle Pearl, released on June 11, 2026, Radical Bowling adds a pearl-based take on the familiar Oracle concept to the Guru series. Visually, the ball comes in a black/gold combination that, thanks to HyperKinetic22 technology, should gain added depth and translucency. The Eye of Horus motif placed on the shell underlines the thematic direction of the Oracle line. Pin and logo are done in yellow, which gives the ball a calm, glare-free look even while it's moving down the lane. Inside works the asymmetric Guru core, specified here in 15 lb with a 2.503 RG, a total differential of 0.044 and an intermediate differential of 0.018. At 16 lb the numbers are 2.512 RG, 0.039 differential and 0.016 intermediate differential. The core is wrapped in the new HK22C+ Pearl coverstock, a further development of the HK22-C formulation that, through additional additives, should show an increased response to friction. The factory surface is polished with 500, 1000 and 1500 Siaair plus a final Factory Compound to roughly 5000 grit, which favors a long pass through the heads and midlane. Brunswick's own DynamiCore outer ring is meant to provide a harder outer shell and correspondingly higher hitting energy at the pins.

In the competitive field, the ball can be slotted alongside models like Motiv's Jackal Ghost, Hammer's Black Widow 3.0 Hybrid or Storm's Phaze 5 — in other words, in the segment of strong asymmetric performance balls with a clear pearl character. Against the more controlled Phaze 5 from Storm, the Guru Oracle Pearl should offer more length and a more pronounced transition into the backend, while against Roto Grip's Hyped Pearl it should bring a stronger overall hook number. Price-wise, the ball sits in the premium top-shelf segment, comparable to other current asymmetric pearl releases at the German specialty retailers mentioned.
On the Lanes The Guru Oracle Pearl is aimed at bowlers who need a ball with clear length and a strong backend reaction in the middle-to-late phase of a medium to longer oil pattern. On fresh sport patterns or demanding house shots, it should find its best role as the second or third ball in the arsenal, once the heads open up and the continuous, sweeping character of the asymmetric core comes into play. Tweeners and strokers with a moderate rev rate could benefit from the clear transition, while crankers with a high rev rate will more likely play it deeper into the lane or control it with additional surface work. The reaction should be noticeably adjustable through surface changes. If you want to get the ball rolling earlier, a 2000- or 3000-grit Abralon pad could calm the backend somewhat and increase friction pickup through the midlane. In the factory finish, use on drier to medium conditions is advisable, since the open reaction pattern could respond to too much oil in the heads with excessive length. In the arsenal, the Guru Oracle Pearl typically takes on the role of the angular backend ball and pairs well with a stronger solid or hybrid model for the early part of the block.
