While the Storm Phaze II is known for its extremely even and predictable arc, the Element should generate a noticeably more direct and sharper change of direction at the breakpoint. Compared to the Ebonite Game Breaker 2, the Dyno-Thane Element shows a slightly delayed reaction in the heads, which helps it avoid losing power too early when the heads start to dry up. The Ebonite Game Breaker 2 tends to roll a bit rounder and more continuously, while the Element saves more of its rotational energy for the backend and delivers a massive hook there. Another interesting comparison is with the Brunswick Rhino Pro Vintage. Here the Soaker cover of the Dyno-Thane Element shows a clearly stronger reaction to friction, which lets it move toward the pocket more securely on longer or higher-volume patterns. In practical terms, the Dyno-Thane Element is primarily designed for house leagues and tournament players who need a reliable tool for fresh and medium-heavy to heavy oil conditions. With its roughed-up 1000 grit cover and high differential value, this ball is especially suited to bowlers looking for a strong midlane read and a powerful hook on the backend. If you throw at medium to high ball speed, you'll benefit enormously from the traction the Soaker coverstock builds up in oil. If you prefer to play straighter, you can vary the length with targeted surface adjustments, though the design unfolds its full potential best when you give it room to work and let it cross several boards. On typical house patterns the ball should offer excellent forgiveness, since the cover handles small inaccuracies at the release well and holds a consistent line toward the pocket. When the lanes dry up over the course of the game and transition sets in, however, the ball could lose too much energy due to its rough surface and early roll and enter the pins increasingly flat. In such moments of heavy friction, switching to weaker or polished equipment is a must. But as long as there is enough oil in the front part of the lane, the Dyno-Thane Element convinces with extremely strong carry. The effective pin action is helped along by the steep entry angle, which can make the decisive difference especially on wet patterns. For bowlers with a very high rev rate, a layout that pushes the ball a bit further down the lane is recommended, in order to prevent it from burning up prematurely and to preserve as much of the powerful backend motion as possible.
