BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Jet Bowling Surrender presents itself as a high-performance and visually striking bowling ball, with a look defined by a bold color combination of red, orange, and black. Inside this model works a symmetrical core carrying a low RG of 2.499 and a differential of 0.046. Objectively, these hard numbers indicate that the ball is set into rotation relatively early and offers moderate to high flare potential, which is essential for a stable, easy-to-read roll phase. This core is wrapped in the Reactive Nano Durastock NF-1 Solid coverstock. This particular material blend should provide increased durability without sacrificing performance on the lane. At first glance it is already clear that the dull, tacky nature of the surface is specifically designed to build continuous traction in the front part of the lane. As a result, the Surrender doesn't skid endlessly through the oil, but starts early to convert the energy of the shot into controlled forward motion. The combination of the low RG and the aggressive solid material gives the ball the stability it needs to avoid being thrown off by small differences in release.
Comparison Looking at the Jet Bowling Surrender in direct comparison to other balls from the same house, such as the original Jet Bowling Jet or the Jet Bowling Armor, it stands out clearly that the Surrender reads the midlane significantly earlier. While the Armor was designed more for length and forgiveness at the release, the Surrender looks for contact with the lane much sooner and develops a stronger shape at the breakpoint. Bringing in a widely known benchmark from another manufacturer, such as the Storm Phaze II, interesting parallels in the basic setup appear. Both balls use a symmetrical core in combination with a strong solid cover to create a reliable, early reaction. The Storm Phaze II, however, often tends toward a somewhat rounder arc, while the Jet Bowling Surrender is laid out to aim for a slightly sharper change of direction despite reading the lane early. Once the transition sets in over the course of a set and the oil is inevitably carried further down the lane, the Surrender usually calls for a strategic adjustment sooner. Compared to polished models like the Storm Hy-Road, which push through the oil better, the Surrender does most of its work very early and can lose energy too quickly on drier lanes.
On the Lanes In practice, the Jet Bowling Surrender unfolds its full potential best on freshly oiled lanes or on oil patterns with medium to high volume. The extremely tacky surface absolutely needs enough oil in the heads so it doesn't burn up prematurely and lose its rotational energy. If you have a lower to medium rev rate, you'll benefit greatly from the massive traction, since the ball naturally helps you generate a stable hook. If you plan your release out over the boards, the Surrender offers a reliable constant and eats its way steadily through the pattern. As soon as the ball reaches the drier part of the lane and meets noticeable friction, it converts the stored energy into a powerful move toward the pocket. The resulting entry angle should ensure that the pins are hit optimally, which in turn promotes excellent carry and reduces the risk of leaving pins standing. If you have a very high rev rate, though, the ball can react too early when there is less oil, which makes precise placement in the pocket more difficult. In those situations the Surrender forces you deep into the middle of the lane, which demands an extremely accurate shot to navigate the transition successfully. All in all, this is a solid and predictable ball developed primarily for oily conditions.
