First Impressions
The Radical Revenge Solid arrives in an eye-catching teal and black color scheme that gives the ball a distinctive, contemporary look. As a new release from Radical Bowling with a release date of April 16, 2026, the ball sits in the manufacturer's EZ-Use category — a segment aimed at accessible performance at a moderate price. Technically, the Revenge Solid is built on the proven Sneak Attack Symmetric Core, which was already used in one of the most successful Radical balls of recent years. For the 15-pound ball, Radical lists an RG of 2.544 and a differential of 0.036; for the 16-pound ball the corresponding numbers are 2.549 and 0.031. Since this is a symmetrical core, there is no mass bias differential. The main change compared to its predecessor is the HK22 Solid coverstock — a reactive solid formulation based on Radical's HyperKinetic22 technology. It is said to achieve improved translucency and a more uniform surface structure by way of a nano-micellar phase separation process. The surface leaves the factory with a multi-stage finish of 500, 1000 and 1500 Siaair Micro Pad combined with Crown Factory Compound, which gives the ball a smooth yet traction-oriented start off the hand. In addition, Brunswick's DynamiCore technology is integrated, an outer core made of harder material that according to the manufacturer produces less compression on impact with the pins and should therefore have a positive effect on carry and sound characteristics. In European pricing, the Revenge Solid falls into the lower to middle price segment of the reactive ball market due to its EZ-Use classification; concrete euro prices were not yet fully available at the time of launch.
Comparison
The Radical Revenge Solid takes over directly from the discontinued Radical Sneak Attack Solid, with which it shares an identical core. The key difference lies in the coverstock: while the Sneak Attack Solid was equipped with the MTS-1 cover, the Revenge Solid uses the more modern HK22 solid coverstock, which brings an updated formulation with improved translucency. The basic character — a medium RG with a moderate differential and a symmetrical core — deliberately stays the same. Within the Revenge line itself, the Solid differs from the Radical Revenge Pearl primarily in how early it responds to the lane: the solid coverstock formulation creates more friction in the midlane and therefore reads a bit earlier, while the pearl version skids longer through the heads and turns the corner more sharply in the backend. Compared to the Brunswick Twist Solid, also an EZ-Use ball in the symmetrical segment, the Revenge Solid should offer somewhat more length and a slightly smoother transition thanks to its higher RG. Next to the Storm Axiom Plus Solid, which is built on a more strongly asymmetrical design and sits in the medium to upper performance range, the Revenge Solid shows a distinctly more controllable and less aggressive motion pattern. Comparing it to the Motiv Jackal Ghost, a high-performance ball with a strong asymmetrical core, makes the difference in positioning even clearer: the Revenge Solid is meant to serve as a reliable, predictable all-rounder for medium oil conditions rather than as a heavy-oil specialist. Within Radical's own lineup, it sits clearly below the Radical Conspiracy Scheme or the Radical Outer Limits Solid in terms of hook potential and oil capacity, but in return offers a broader range of use and easier handling.
On the Lanes
The Radical Revenge Solid is primarily designed for medium oil conditions and should play to its strengths on typical house patterns as well as slightly shorter sport patterns. If you have a lower to medium rev rate — roughly between 200 and 350 rpm — you should benefit from the controlled, predictable ball motion, since the ball does not bring excessive hook potential despite its solid surface. If you throw the ball fast, you can also put the Revenge Solid to targeted use in order to create a calculable line to the pocket on lanes with friction. Because of the factory surface with Crown Factory Compound, the ball stays relatively long through the heads, but reads early enough from the midlane on to produce a stable arc. If you want more length or a sharper angle into the pocket, you could step the surface up with a light polish; if you prefer more friction and an even earlier response, you can take the surface down to 2000 grit. In an arsenal context, the Revenge Solid typically slots in as a second or third ball when the
