First Impressions
The Track Stealth Mode Hybrid arrives in February 2026 as the newest addition to Track Bowling's successful Stealth product line. Visually, the ball shows up in a striking color combination of black, Cadet Grey and gold – a noticeably more distinctive look than the understated Navy Blue/Raven of the Track Stealth Mode. HK22C technology gives the surface remarkable color depth and translucency, lending the ball a premium appearance. Technically, the Stealth Mode Hybrid relies on the proven symmetrical Stealth core, which has established itself as one of the most versatile cores in the Track portfolio since its introduction. With an RG of 2.482 (15 lbs) and a high differential of 0.056 (15 lbs), this is a low-RG/high-differential core intended to produce early revving and high flare potential. By design, a symmetrical core has no intermediate differential. The cover is the HK22C Super Response Hybrid Cover – a hybrid reactive coverstock based on HyperKinetic 22 technology with what is called nano-micellular phase separation technology. The factory finish combination of 500, 1000 and 1500 Siaair with a final factory compound yields a polished surface that should give the ball controlled length through the heads before the hybrid cover responds to friction. The package is rounded out by DynamiCore technology in the outer core, which should provide increased durability and improved pin carry characteristics. Track places the ball in the upper-mid-performance segment and recommends it for medium to slightly heavier lane conditions.
Comparison
Within the Stealth line, the Stealth Mode Hybrid positions itself as a somewhat cleaner and sharper version of the Stealth Mode, which serves as a classic benchmark ball with its QR-10 solid cover. While the Stealth Mode comes out of the box with a duller surface (500/1500 Siaair Micro Pad) and therefore reads earlier, the Stealth Mode Hybrid should generate more length through the heads thanks to the polished hybrid cover and react a bit more angular off the backend. For bowlers who find the Stealth Mode too early and too even during transition phases, the Stealth Mode Hybrid could be the right complement in the arsenal – similar control, but with a bit more energy in reserve at the end of the lane. The Stealth Mode Hybrid differs from the older Track Stealth Hybrid (2024) in its use of the newer HK22C Super Response Hybrid Cover instead of the Prime Response Hybrid (HK22). This cover update should deliver a somewhat stronger midlane read and a more forceful backend reaction. Compared to the asymmetrical Criterion Hybrid, which also uses the Super Response Hybrid Cover but pairs it with the stronger Criterion M.D. core, the Stealth Mode Hybrid should turn out more controlled and more predictable – a point where the symmetrical core architecture can play to its advantage. In the broader market landscape, the Stealth Mode Hybrid fits into the segment of strong symmetrical balls, where it could compete with models like the Motiv Raptor or the Hammerhead Pearl. A certain similarity to a slightly cleaner Brunswick Troublemaker Solid is also suggested – an early transition into roll, but with enough energy left for the pins thanks to the polished surface.
On the Lanes
The Track Stealth Mode Hybrid positions itself as a versatile ball for medium to slightly heavier lane conditions and targets the segment between a pure benchmark ball and stronger mid-performance equipment. The high flare potential combined with the low RG means the ball gets into roll relatively early and should show a strong, even arc through the midlane. The hybrid cover with its polished factory surface provides enough length to get cleanly through the heads before the ball responds to drier areas. The ball should be particularly well suited to bowlers looking for a controllable but assertive symmetrical ball. If you have a moderate to higher rev rate, you can expect a good midlane read and a controlled but decisive backend finish. If you are speed-dominant with fewer revs, the ball may require a bit more angle and hand to bring out its full backend reaction. The combination of controllable length and a strong backend move makes the Stealth Mode Hybrid a potentially strong transition ball – a ball that comes into play once the original oil pattern starts to break down and the first ball in the arsenal reacts too early or too strongly. The polished surface also leaves room for adjustments: lightly sanding it with a pad should increase oil absorption and make the ball usable for heavier conditions, while the factory surface should work well for typical house shots and medium sport patterns. In the bag of an ambitious league player or tournament bowler, the Stealth Mode Hybrid could take on the role of the reliable second ball – ready to replace the Stealth Mode Solid as soon as the lane dries up and more length is required.
