BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Swag Fusion Hybrid was released in September 2025 as part of the Modern Performance Line and comes in a striking color combination of black, pink, and teal. The technical foundation is the symmetric Swag Fusion Core, which in 15 pounds shows a radius of gyration (RG) of 2.54 and a differential of 0.036. This core is wrapped in the Xplode Hybrid Reactive cover, which ships out of the box with a matte 4000 grit sanded finish. These specs point to a ball that combines high midlane stability with a controlled but still effective backend motion. With a moderate flare potential of 4 to 5 inches, this model promises reliable track flare without extreme aggressiveness.
Comparison Within the Swag lineup, the Swag Fusion Hybrid positions itself as a versatile evolution of the Swag Fusion Solid. While the solid version grabs earlier in the oil with its 3000 surface, the hybrid offers more length through the heads thanks to the finer 4000 finish, along with a noticeably stronger downlane reaction as the pattern transitions. Compared to other manufacturers, the ball motion can be likened to the Storm Phaze II or the Motiv Primal Rage Evolution. Against the Storm Phaze II, the Swag Fusion Hybrid shows a slightly longer skid phase and a smoother transition from the oil to the dry part of the lane. Compared to the Swag Apex Solid, the Fusion Hybrid is less about raw power in the oil and more focused on a clean line and a controlled arc shape, which makes it an ideal benchmark ball.
On the Lanes The Swag Fusion Hybrid is designed for medium to heavy oil conditions and shines especially once the oil pattern starts to break down. If you are speed-dominant, it is an excellent choice on medium-dry to medium patterns, since the Xplode Hybrid cover provides enough traction to keep you from going through the breakpoint. Balanced players will find a perfect benchmark ball in this model, one that offers reliable information on both fresh and broken-down lanes. Rev-dominant players can use the ball successfully on longer or higher-volume patterns, as the hybrid cover holds enough traction for the midlane without losing punch in the pocket. Its practical strength lies in the ability to read the lane and maintain continuous motion all the way through the pins, which is a decisive advantage for carry during tricky transition phases.
